South Austin. What can be said about South Austin? It is said as one word, “southaustin” and encompasses not only a geographical boundaries but a lifestyle as well. South Austin is usually considered anything South of the river. People in South Austin are gracious, open, friendly, welcoming and  laid back. Lady Bird Lake and Ziker Park are icons in Austin and a mainstay to the residents of South Austin. Travel farther south along Manchaca, south Congress and south 1st and you will still find and eclectic mix of people and places to go but you will also find the franchises and chain stores that are a neseccity for everyday living. South Austin has a lot to offer to buyers in choices for homes and neighborhoods. It also offers a certain flair that you will not find anywhere else in Austin.
